Where We Are and How to Get Here
Our address is Calle de Ponzano 85, 28003 Madrid, in Chamberí, a residential district north of the city centre. Ponzano is the street itself, a well-known Madrid dining axis, and number 85 sits towards its northern end. Getting here by metro. The nearest stations are Alonso Cano and Ríos Rosas on Line 1, and Canal, where Lines 1, 2 and 7 meet. From Puerta del Sol, Gran Vía or Plaza Mayor, Line 1 northbound is the direct route with no changes. From Museo del Prado, take Line 2 at Banco de España to Cuatro Caminos or change onto Line 1 at Sol. From Retiro, Line 2 westbound and then Line 1 at Sol. From the Salamanca district, Line 4 or Line 5 connect to Line 1 at Bilbao or Alonso Martínez. From Santiago Bernabéu, Line 10 southbound connects with Line 1 at Tribunal or with Line 7 at Alonso Cano. We are not in the historic centre and we do not pretend to be: allow for the journey and for Madrid traffic if you come by taxi.
Service times, so that no one arrives on the wrong day. Dinner runs Tuesday to Saturday and on public holidays, in two seatings: 19:00 and 21:30. Lunch is served on Saturdays and public holidays at 14:00 only. From Tuesday to Friday at midday the same premises operate as Barbecho Bar, a separate project with its own menu and its own booking system, so El Invernadero does not serve weekday lunches.
A few things we do not do, said plainly here to save you an email: no private events, no catering and no delivery. Every table is booked for diners eating in the dining room.
Our published details are checked before they go online, prices and service times included, because a wrong midday or a missed dietary note costs a guest their evening. The address, the phone number and the two dinner seatings on this page are the ones the kitchen and the dining room work to. If your travel plans change, write to reservas@elinvernaderorestaurante.com rather than arriving on spec: with two seatings a night, the room fills weeks ahead.
